Concept
She reconstructs images by combining different times and perspectives drawn from reproduced footage of phenomena she has actually witnessed. Through the process of layering paint, these reconstructed images are revisited and transformed—emotions and experiences shifting as they take form as paintings.
In doing so, she seeks to reveal the fundamental truth that one can perceive the world only through one’s own experiences. At the same time, she explores the boundary between still life and the human figure, continuously searching for new modes of expression.
