biscuit gallery (Shibuya), a contemporary art commercial gallery located on Shibuya Ward Matsusono Culture Street, has received an overwhelming number of applications and responses to 「grid next 」, and will now be holding the second open call exhibition “grid next : 2025 – Emerging Artists Showcase”.
This exhibition “grid next : 2025” is a project that broadly solicits applications from art school students and art practitioners who have no prior exhibition experience at biscuit gallery.
For this second edition, we are planning to feature approximately 25 artists at nudge field (Shinjuku), where both biscuit gallery and AWASE gallery are located.

【Application Overview】
Application Method: Please fill out the application form.
Number of Artists to be Exhibited: Approximately 25 ※Subject to change
Application Period: August 10, 2024 – April 30, 2025
Review Results: Applicants will be notified by the end of May ※Reviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and successful applicants will be contacted promptly.
【Application Requirements】
・Follow biscuit gallery’s Instagram
・Art practitioners with no prior exhibition experience at biscuit gallery who are aiming to become professionals
・Students or individuals approximately 40 years old or younger
・Flat art, three-dimensional art, video art, etc. – works that can be displayed at biscuit gallery. Please consult regarding the number of works.
・For those residing domestically, either the artist themselves or their representative must be able to attend installation and collection/retrieval of works after the exhibition period.
・When applying, please submit a CV including reference images close to the exhibition works, artist statement, etc. via Google Drive
・Works must be new, previously unpublished works that are available for sale
・The display location at the exhibition will be determined by the gallery
・No application or exhibition fees

Additionally, as part of this exhibition, we are preparing an initiative to hold a solo exhibition for “1” artist from among the participating artists.
【Special Prize】
Based on voting by visitors, SNS user engagement rates, and reviews by directors of both biscuit gallery and AWASE gallery, “1” exhibiting artist will be awarded the right to hold a solo exhibition.

・Copyright of submitted works belongs to the applicant. However, the organizers are free to use images of submitted works for promotional purposes, etc.
・All conditions regarding sales of displayed works shall follow biscuit gallery’s standard contract terms.

시부야구 마츠노하 문화 스트릿에 위치한 현대미술 상업갤러리 biscuit gallery(시부야)에서 매우 많은 응모와 반응을 받은 「grid next 」에 이어, 2회차 공모 기획전 「grid next : 2025 – Emerging Artists Showcase」를 개최하게 되었습니다.
본 전시 「grid next : 2025」는 이전까지 biscuit gallery에서의 전시 실적이 없는 작가를 대상으로, 미술대학생 및 미술작가 여러분께 널리 응모를 받는 기획입니다.
제2회차인 이번에는 biscuit gallery와 AWASE gallery가 입주한 nudge field(신주쿠)에서 약 25명의 작가를 예정하고 있습니다.

【응모 조건】
・biscuit gallery의 Instagram 팔로우
・biscuit gallery에서의 전시 실적이 없는 미술작가로 프로를 목표로 하는 분
・학생 또는 만 40세 정도까지의 분
・평면작가, 입체작가, 영상작가 등으로 biscuit gallery에서 전시 가능한 작품. 작품 점수는 상담 가능합니다.
・국내 거주의 경우, 작가 본인 또는 대리인에 의한 설치 및 전시 후의 작품 철수, 인수에 올 수 있는 분.
・응모 시에는 전시 작품에 가까운 참고 이미지, 스테이트먼트 등을 포함한 CV를 Google Drive를 통해 제출
・출품 작품은 미발표 신작으로 판매 가능한 작품에 한함
・전시 시의 전시 장소는 갤러리에 일임
・응모비, 전시비용은 무료
