Concept

The work develops from the intersection between reproducibility inherent in print expression and singularity in drawing. By transferring brushwork drawn lines onto a plate and developing images through repetition and variation using silk screen technique, I attempt to construct a pictorial space where multiple layers and times intersect within a single picture plane. Additionally, by actively incorporating contingency into the creative process, I reconsider the act of “painting” itself.
