biscuit gallery management artist Yurina Okada will be participating in the “FEATURED ARTIST PROGRAM Third Edition” hosted by Naoshima Ryokan ろ霞(ka).
“FEATURED ARTIST Third Edition” Overview:
Naoshima Ryokan ろ霞(ka), Naoshima’s first full-scale inn that opened on April 14, 2022, has refreshed the art works displayed in guest rooms as the third edition of the “FEATURED Artist Program,” which displays and sells works drawn by young artists in guest rooms. The exhibition of new works “Heavenly Flowers” by Yurina Okada, whose artistic style is characterized by crossing photography and painting, began on April 21.
This new work “Heavenly Flowers” further develops the “transience” that Yurina Okada has consistently pursued using flowers as a motif, crystallizing life and death, imagination and destruction, moment and eternity within a single picture plane. The third edition artwork display is scheduled until September 25, 2023.
Following the exhibition, artwork sales will now be available not only to overnight guests but also to anyone online in commemoration of ろ霞’s first anniversary of opening.

「FEATURED ARTIST 제3탄」개요：
2022년 4월 14일에 개업한 나오시마 최초의 본격 료칸 「나오시마 료칸 로카(か)」는, 신진 아티스트가 그린 작품을 객실에 전시·판매하는 「FEATURED 아티스트 프로그램」의 제3탄으로서, 객실 내에 전시하는 아트 작품을 새로이 했습니다. 사진과 회화를 가로지르는 화풍이 특징인 오카다 유리나에 의한 신작 전시 「Heavenly Flowers」의 전시가 4월 21일부터 시작되고 있습니다.
이번 신작 「Heavenly Flowers」는, 오카다 유리나가 일관되게 꽃을 모티프로 하여 추구해온 「덧없음」을 더욱 소화시켜, 생과 사, 상상과 파괴, 순간과 영원을 한 화면 속에 결정화시킨 작품이 되고 있습니다. 제3탄의 작품 전시는 2023년 9월25일까지의 예정입니다.
전시 후의 작품 판매에 있어서는, 로카 오픈 1주년을 기념하여, 숙박 게스트뿐만 아니라 온라인상에서 누구나 구매하실 수 있게 되었습니다.
