Concept
“What is visible and what is difficult to see”—I create work as if constantly recording the state of the world and mapping it.
Born to Korean parents and raised in Japan, I have always been conscious of the relationship between nationality and where I live. My creative practice is rooted in the question of how to think through and visualize this experience and consciousness through art, and whether I can achieve a union of the material aspects of pictorial composition with my own spirituality.
