Concept
I am interested in “how parts create the whole.”
On the canvas, events that repeat like chain reactions through the layering of paint, while containing chance, eventually reach the whole. Just as a series of events generates a single form, I sense that there is a structure within the painting space that emerges between chance and choice.
While observing the traces and phenomena that occur on the canvas, I paint by exploring the relationships that exist between things.
