Arai Aoki × Minami Tani Rika × Nishimura Kosuke Triple Exhibition "SOLO SOLO SOLO vol. 3"

 

biscuit gallery, a contemporary art commercial gallery located on Shibuya Ward Shoto Culture Street (Shibuya Ward Shoto), will hold an exhibition featuring three artists: Midori Arai, Rika Minamitani, and Kousuke Nishimura.
From November 3rd (Thursday) to November 20th (Sunday).

This project held vol.1 in April 2022 with Takeao Takao, Yukino Yamanaka, and Rika Inoue. Vol.2 was held in October, and following this exhibition’s vol.3, we plan to continue with vol.4 in three consecutive months (planned for October to December 2022).

Using each floor of biscuit gallery, which has three floors as exhibition spaces, visitors can enjoy solo exhibitions by three artists at each exhibition.

The following three contemporary art artists are participating in SOLO SOLO SOLO Vol.3.

Profile
Born in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1992.
Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 2015, completed master’s program at Kyoto University of the Arts in 2022.
Traces of unconscious actions are imbued with the finiteness of the body and the infinity of painting.
Precisely because this is an age of coexistence, it raises questions about the nature of life and time.

Profile
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1998.
Graduated from Tamabi University of Art, Department of Fine Arts, Painting Division, Oil Painting Major in 2021.
Currently enrolled in the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts, Painting Division.

 

Kousuke Nishimura (3F) Solo Exhibition “Transform”

Kousuke Nishimura (3F) Solo Exhibition “Transform” Main Visual

Profile
Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1999.
Enrolled in Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School, Oil Painting Sixth Studio in 2022.
Creates work using a technique of transferring paint applied to printed image data onto different supports. The artist overlaps their own creative process with society, where widely recognized images are replicated and transformed into various forms through consumption. Currently also exploring painterly expressions created through the act of transfer itself.
