biscuit gallery, a contemporary art commercial gallery located on Shibuya Ward Matsuura Culture Street (Shibuya Ward Matsuo), will hold an exhibition featuring three visual artists: Hinako Sugiyama, Hidetaka Suzuki, and Shinji Nakakaze.
From October 6 (Thursday) to October 23 (Sunday).
This project held vol.1 in April 2022 welcoming Takeoh Takao, Yukino Yamanaka, and Rika Inoue. Starting with vol.2 of this exhibition, we plan to hold consecutive exhibitions through vol.3 and vol.4 for three months continuously (scheduled for October to December 2022).
Using each floor of biscuit gallery, which has three floors as exhibition spaces, visitors can enjoy solo exhibitions of three artists per exhibition.

Profile Born in Hokkaido in 1986. Completed Master’s Program in Fine Arts, Oil Painting Course, Graduate School of Fine Arts Research, Musashino Art University in 2014.
Continues to create paintings with the theme of fiction and reality. The reality we normally experience, and the fiction we imagine and create. By blurring the boundary lines that appear to separate these two worlds, the artist asks viewers “What is it that we truly see?”

Profile Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1994. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department, Oil Painting Major in 2018. Currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Fine Arts Research, Tokyo University of the Arts.
Continues to create work seeking essence within a deformed two-dimensional world where richer reality can be felt than from all information in reality. By unhesitatingly revealing one’s own weaknesses, the artist aims for an identity and originality achieved only by Nakakaze.

While it is often said that “art has no answers,” it seems that not many viewers appreciate works with the attitude of “let’s interpret them from our own subjective perspective.” In this event, while respecting the artist’s intentions, participants will openly exchange opinions about what they feel and think from the works by inserting themselves into the space between artist and work, and freely experiencing them. By encouraging viewers to engage more actively in appreciation, the goal is to close the distance between viewer and work, and allow everyone to enjoy the works in their own unique way.

10월 6일(목)부터 10월 23일(일)까지.
본 기획은 2022년 4월에 Takao Takao, Yukino Yamanaka, Rika Inoue를 맞이하여 vol.1을 개최하였습니다. 이번 전시회의 vol.2를 시작으로 연속하여 vol.3, vol.4까지 3개월 전시회를 연속으로 개최할 예정입니다(2022년 10월~12월 개최 예정).

「SOLO SOLO SOLO Vol.2」
「미술에는 정답이 없다」고 말해지는 가운데, 작품을 ‘주관으로 풀어보려는’ 태도로 감상하는 관객은 많지 않은 것으로 느껴집니다. 이 이벤트에서는 작가의 의도를 존중하면서, 작가와 작품 사이의 여백에 자신을 끼워넣어, 자유롭게 작품으로부터 무엇을 느끼고·생각하는지를 열린 마음으로 의견 교환합니다. 관객이 앞으로 몸을 굽혀 감상함으로써 작품과의 거리를 줄이고, 자신만의 관점으로 즐겨주기를 목표로 합니다.
