Concept
I view the scenery in front of me as if I were lying in bed simply gazing at the ceiling. By doing so, I feel as though I am slightly farther away than where I actually am.
At the same time, in that moment when I realize nothing would change whether I exist or not, I feel as if I can see the same scenery as what would be visible after my existence disappears—a view I should never be able to see. When I feel this way, I often take snapshots.
I paint by restoring my original experience from the memory images that have been overwritten into JPEGs through these snapshots.
