Statement
Prompted by a neighbor’s solitary death, I became curious about what happens before, after, or in between my own death.
I know no one who speaks from personal experience.
No one knows, and it is almost like a longing.
The neighbor’s room was cleared away matter-of-factly. Just as morning comes and night comes, just as wind blows and curtains sway, it seemed almost like a dream.
I hold a sense of yearning toward this uncertain and fleeting event, rendering it as a painting in the form of an inner landscape.
