Completed Master’s Program in Visual Arts and Crafts, Media/Film Division at Kyoto University of Art and Design in 2021
Since early on, has created a body of works using self-image based on external characteristics such as personal makeup.
In recent years, the self-image previously explored—rooted in femininity and shadow, driven by premonition and reverie—has become abstracted and expressed through the act of drawing lines and burning. Images applied to various materials appear as if they were marks that existed there from the beginning, inviting viewers into a new-primitive world.
From 2022 onwards, the two series are expected to merge and appear as new forms of expression.
Recent group exhibitions include “KUA Annual 2021 irregular reports” (Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, 2021) and others.
