On Sunday, June 22, 2025, the exhibition “Fumetsu” currently being held at biscuit gallery was featured in the “Art Criticism” section of the Tokyo Shimbun morning edition. Through an exhibition review by novelist Haruko Takayama, an attractive exhibition by two artists—novelist Akiko Horio and Sawako Nasu—is introduced.

“The title of the exhibition is apparently derived from Milan Kundera’s novel of the same name. The two female figures depicted in that story sometimes spread their hands and move about, and sometimes stand still and think. Rather than presenting two types of female representations, this is the direct expression of two elements that a single woman can possess simultaneously. Works by two women with different origins, different eras in which they have lived, and different lengths of life appear before us at the same time. 2025년 6월 22일(일) 도쿄신문 조간의 「미술평」에서 현재 biscuit gallery에서 개최 중인 전시회 『불멸』이 특집되었습니다. 소설가 타카야마 우네코 씨에 의한 전시평으로, 소설가 호리오 아키코와 나스 사와코, 2명의 작가에 의한 매력적인 전시회가 소개되고 있습니다.

「전시의 제목은 밀란 쿤데라의 동명 소설에서 유래하고 있는 것 같다. 그 이야기에서 보여지는 2명의 여성상은, 어떨 때는 손을 펼치고 돌아다니고, 또 어떨 때는 멈추어 사고한다. 이것은 2가지 종류의 여성 표창이라기보다는, 한 여성이 동시에 가질 수 있는 두 가지 요소가, 그대로 표출된 것일 것이다. 출신도 살아온 시대도 길이도 다른 여성 2명의 작품이, 동시에 우리 앞에 나타나고 있다. 그리고 또한, 우리 감상자는 움직여서 그 작품을 보고, 멈추어 사고를 돌린다.」타카야마 우네코(소설가) ※도쿄신문 2025년 6월 22일 조간 미술평에서 일부 발췌
