Artist Statement

I create work centered on the theme of “Self.” Within this ambiguous existence of “self,” I sense both a “self” that emerges like the tip of an iceberg above the water’s surface, and countless “selves” hidden deep beneath the surface. These “selves” may be reflected in the objects around me, may be shifting in form, and may be concealed within all things I observe, without my realizing it.

My creative process is one of “myself” searching for those numerous hidden “selves.” Through my work, I hope to become a catalyst for viewers to discover the hidden selves within their own hearts.
