biscuit gallery (Shibuya Ward, Matsuho) is a contemporary art commercial gallery located on Shibuya Ward Matsuo Culture Street, and will hold a two-person exhibition “b⇔d” by fine artists Koiichirou Tada and Sawako Nasu.
The exhibition period runs from August 19, 2021 (Thursday) to August 29, 2021 (Sunday).
Koiichirou Tada graduated in 2016 and Sawako Nasu in 2021, both emerging fine artists who specialized in oil painting at the Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts.
This exhibition “b⇔d” speaks to the point where contradictory things come and go.
Painting has been accepted as a window to another world until today, but faced with the fact that its structure is a support and drawing material—in other words, matter—painters have layered various answers.
In this exhibition, by allowing the focus of the image to shift, blur, or expose the structure itself, it will shake the position where the viewer stands. From a position that does not swing to either extreme, the artists pose questions about immersion in the pictorial space and its impossibility.
