biscuit gallery will hold a solo exhibition by 粂原愛 titled “静寂の聲” in cooperation with 京都 蔦屋書店. The exhibition is scheduled to run from July 20, 2024 (Saturday) to August 6, 2024 (Tuesday).
Even now, as we each carry our own circumstances, we live our ordinary daily lives. Yet we—who have undeniably experienced events that forcibly restricted or altered our everyday existence—how will we face the next calamity, whatever form it may take? I find myself recalling days I spent in a garden during unguarded moments. Those days seem as though I were dreaming, yet they are unmistakably real. In the future, something will happen again. It is not a question of whether something will occur, but rather when it will occur—this is what we must consider. I remember this: the signs of “something” are happening in a silence that no one notices.
biscuit gallery는 교토 蔦屋書店와 협력하는 전시회, 粂原愛 개인전 「静寂の聲」을 개최합니다. 회기는 2024년 7월 20일(토)～2024년 8월 6일(화)을 예정하고 있습니다.
현재 우리는 각자의 사정을 안고 있지만, 평온한 일상을 보내고 있습니다. 그러나 강제로 일상이 제한되거나 변경되는 사건을 분명히 경험한 우리는, 과연 다음에 일어날 「무언가」의 재난을 어떠한 태도로 맞이할 것인가. 저는 어느 순간 정원에서 보낸 날들을 떠올립니다. 그 날들은 마치 꿈을 꾸고 있었던 것 같지만, 엄연한 현실입니다. 앞으로도 「무언가」는 일어날 것입니다. 「무언가」는 일어날지 일어나지 않을지가 아니라, 언제 일어날 것인가, 라는 것을 생각해나가야 합니다. 저는 기억합니다. 「무언가」의 전조는 누구도 알아차리지 못하는 정적 속에서 일어나고 있다는 것을 .
