biscuit gallery will hold a collaboration project with DAFT about DRAFT titled “Serendipity Vol.6” starting March 5, 2026 (Thursday).
Building on the project that started in summer 2024, this marks the sixth installment. This is an attempt to realize the “art & living” perspective that biscuit gallery advocates within the refined lifestyle space of DAFT about DRAFT FLAGSHIP STORE in Omotesando. Leveraging the network of emerging artists that biscuit gallery has cultivated and its curatorial ability to brighten spaces, we propose an “enriched everyday life” born from the fusion of art and living spaces.
This time, we will hold a group exhibition featuring three artists with different backgrounds and techniques.
Kuroda, who works as both a fine artist and a textile dyer, skillfully manipulates the texture and light reflection inherent to the materials themselves. Intersecting traditional techniques with contemporary sensibility, his works bring serene depth to spaces, lighting a gentle tranquility in the hearts of those who inhabit them.
A contemporary artist who quietly questions viewers through material picture composition. The definite presence emanated by the layering of materials and their textures creates a pleasant tension and dialogue in the space when juxtaposed with the substantial products of DAFT about DRAFT.
A painter who reconstructs the world from her unique perspective with “how things appear / how things are perceived” as her theme. Her quiet color fields and fresh stroke expressions bring new discoveries to our daily lives.
