Artist Statement
Shadows created by sunlight, the sound of trees swaying in the wind, temperature felt on the skin, the scent of the air.
I create work through the act of collecting subtle phenomena that exist outside of consciousness in daily life.
I preserve these through drawings and photography, and make them exist once more on the picture plane through silkscreen and painting. The choice of surface texture and color is based on the awareness of making intangible presences, like the fragrance of foam, into a tangible form that can be held in one’s hands.
