Concept

Ahmed Mannan primarily utilizes canvas, fabric, and personal materials from his daily life as supports for his work. Drawing inspiration from his physical roots and the fluid fluctuations of self-identity, he employs a unique method of molding and shaping these substrates. By embedding his own physicality into the structural formation of his supports, he achieves a highly personal and bodily form of painterly expression.
