Art Busan 2026
biscuit gallery is pleased to announce its participation in Art Busan 2026, taking place in Busan, South Korea, from May 21, 2026.

biscuit gallery will present a two-person exhibition featuring Yennie Kim Ebihara and Miyu Yamada at Art Busan 2026.
Yennie Kim Ebihara explores how society and culture shape our ways of seeing through her own multilayered cultural background spanning Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and the English-speaking world. The sensibility she has developed between these cultures transforms social questions and perceptual dissonances into soft colors and delicate compositions.
Miyu Yamada uses materials such as sand and pastel to depict “ourselves” as beings suspended within time and society, positioned between the urban and the natural as an “in-between existence.” The lifeforms that appear in her works observe an era of rapid change, while simultaneously reflecting the viewer themselves.
Between Currents
“Between Currents” is an exhibition that depicts presences situated in the thresholds—those liminal spaces—between culture and time, place and being. Drawing on a multicultural background that bridges East Asia and the English-speaking world, Ebihara explores “identity” and perspectives on the social environment. Yamada contemplates beings that drift “between city and nature, past and future, within a fluid era,” rendering their sense of buoyancy with sand and mixed media.
Through the artists’ subtly ambiguous and gentle sensibilities, their paintings invite viewers to question the selves that exist at the boundary.
