It brings together drawings by six artists\u2014Yennie Ebihara, Haruto Kamijo, Charles Munka, Saki Maruyama, Kana Mitsunari, and Yuzuki\u2014each offering their own interpretation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"195\" data-end=\"338\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">A curated project in which six artists expand the possibilities of drawing through their distinct approaches. We hope you enjoy the exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>\uff1cParticipating artists\uff1e<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/biscuitgallery.com\/en\/yennie-ebihara\/\">Yennie Ebihara<\/a><\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong>2003\u3000Born in Japan, raised in Hong Kong<br \/>\n2021 \u2013 Current\u3000BFA in Oil Painting, Tokyo University of the Arts<br \/>\n2022\u3000Recipient of the Keiichiro Kume Scholarship Fund<\/p>\n<p>Ebihara was raised in Hong Kong since childhood and returned to Japan in 2015. She has experienced a variety of different cultures and languages as a person of Korean and Japanese descent who was raised in an English speaking environment.\u00a0From this foundation, she observes the social environment and social issues she is involved in from her own perspective and expresses her thoughts on the society that surrounds her through the medium of her artwork.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/harut0kamij0\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Haruto Kamijo<\/span><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong>2000 Born in Tokyo<br \/>\nCurrently enrolled in the Doctoral Program, Department of Architecture, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Kamijo has been active in various fields, receiving the Dean\u2019s Award of the Faculty of Engineering, The University of Tokyo (for outstanding research), being selected as a KUMA Foundation Scholar (8th and 9th terms), and producing costume materials for the Closing Ceremony of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/charlesmunka\/#\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Charles Munka<\/span><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong>Born in Lyon, France.<br \/>\n2002 Graduated from \u00c9cole \u00c9mile Cohl<br \/>\nHe is currently based on Sado Island, Niigata, where he continues to produce his works.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Having grown up in his teenage years watching Japanese animation and Asian cinema, his works convey the expressive and spontaneous brushstrokes rooted in the European and American traditions of Expressionism and Abstraction, while simultaneously engaging in an ongoing dialogue with the urban cultures of Asia.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/biscuitgallery.com\/saki-maruyama\/\">Saki Maruyama<\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong>2002 Born in Tokyo<br \/>\n2021 Enrolled in the Department of Japanese Painting, College of Art and Design, Musashino Art University<br \/>\n2025 Graduated from the Department of Visual Communication Design at the same university<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Focusing primarily on oil painting, her practice explores the structures and narratives that can exist within a painting\u2014such as the relationship between the \u201cviewer\u201d and the \u201cviewed,\u201d paintings within paintings, and the links between the support and the motif.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/biscuitgallery.com\/kana-mitsunari\/\">Kana Mitsunari<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture.<br \/>\n2023 Graduated from the Department of Oil Painting, College of Art and Design, Musashino Art University.<br \/>\n2023 Entered the Master\u2019s Program in the Department of Painting, Laboratory of Oil Painting Techniques and Materials, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">By combining different times and perspectives from reproduced images of phenomena actually witnessed, she reconstructs images that are then reinterpreted through the process of layering paint. In this repetition, emotions and experiences undergo transformation and materialize as paintings. Through this practice, she seeks to present the fundamental fact that one can perceive things only through one\u2019s own experiences. She also explores the boundary between still life and the human figure, examining new possibilities for their expression.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/biscuitgallery.com\/en\/yuzuki\/\"><strong>Yuzuki<\/strong><\/a><\/span> <br \/>\n2023 Entered the Department of Oil Painting, Tokyo University of the Arts<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Her works\u2014paintings, picture books, and poetry\u2014are inspired by the coming-of-age story of Kaneko Mineuchi, an honor student who always tries to fit in and avoid standing out within the hierarchical and conformist atmosphere of school life.
